Really nice scout camp. Very close to Richmond.
This week end Boy Scout campground (Albright Scout Reservation) has facilities for pavilion, wilderness and Leave No Trace camping. There are hiking trails for Cubs and younger scouts as well as wilderness trails for older scouts. Wilderness areas include trails for up to 10 miles of hiking with compass and orienteering courses. Nine ponds and frontage on Lake Chesdin provide ample fishing opportunities for bass, crappie and sun fish of many varieties. Wildlife is plentiful and easily observed, including: deer, snakes, beaver, raccoon, opossum, turkey and numerous other birds and small animals common to the area. Campers have ample opportunity to learn how to avoid common wilderness hazards like poison ivy, chiggers, ticks and mosquitoes. Really great place!!!
What an amazing property! I grew up on the farm. My great Uncle was Finley Albright who I miss dearly as well as my Aunt Shirley Phillips. A truly serene place of nature at its finest!
