This school deserves 0 stars, its very unclean, and Ive seen multiple cockroaches in the rooms, especially over the summer. Teachers are a hit and miss, and the school is way to focused on sports and their engineering kids that they've cut funding severely to the majority of art classes. I graduated in 2017 and my art class ended up with very little resources by the middle of the year. Administration sucks, they try way to hard to get into personal matters that do not consern them. Ive seen a assistant principle leave vefore the end of the year because he was the only decent person there other then the school officer. They need to do a huge renovation and re-hire some new staff who know how to properly deal eith students and bullying. You can not go to the administration and get anything done without being well known by them . Also my guidance counsler was a football coach and never helped me in anyway.
I'm a sophomore this year (2017) and other than the druggies, the teachers are good and we have a good football team.
I hope this review can help you find the right school for you or your child.
I'm a freshman here and it is a pretty good school so far. There is a bit of a roach problem but other than that, it's cool. *This review may change*
As of writing this, I am a sophomore at this school. If you have a child that is in C level classes and is usually a bully magnet, don't go here. The administration does nothing about bullying, and don't know anything about the classes that are available. I reported another student for racism and bullying and the administrators didn't even ask any of the victims, nor the bully about the scenario; they did nothing. Also, a good amount of kids (especially in C level) do drugs, such as marijuana. As far as I can tell, a majority of the drug use and bullying that goes on is in the C level classes, since there are a lot of kids in there that don't care about school. The honors classes have students that are focused on learning (which most people that read this will know from middle school), and are smart enough to avoid drugs. The honors teachers are also better; they care for the students and are in love with their job. I'm not saying that this school is horrible if you're not an honors student, but it is easily possible for your child to get involved with drugs at this school and get involved with the wrong people. Also, I am not in the engineering program myself, but, I have a few friends in it that strongly recommend it, however they say it's not as good as it used to be, and the engineering teachers can get a bit harsh sometimes.
Theres a bit of a roach problem, baby mice, and the boys bathroom has mold ... gross... other than that its good. The principals be tripping mad hard and the office ladies are rude but hey the kids are nice.
